The Joan Rothenberg Family Foundation aims to implement grant making to nonprofit organizations, primarily located, but not restricted to, the Central New York region. The foundation focuses on three primary areas: Women and children’s welfare and environmental protection. In the area of children’s education, we aim to empower young individuals by supporting programs that promote a whole range of cognitive and social skills. In the area of women’s welfare, we aim to support programs that educate and empower women so that they may live happier and more productive lives, and hold a more equitable position in society. In the area of environmental protection, education and preservation of important ecological areas are priorities, and to a lesser extent pollution control and prevention.
